Our landscape is "walker friendly". Even parks such as BC's largest, Wells Gray and Mount Robson Park have gentle walking terrain. Other areas for a stroll include the abandoned Kettle Valley Railway, Gold Country to explore the hoodoos and other neat rock formations, Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, Herald Provincial Park outside of Salmon Arm, the Channel Parkway in Penticton and the trails around Greenwood. For an exhilarating backpacking experience, travel 30 kilometres southwest of Keremeos to Cathedral Provincial Park and view the fabulous basalt formations known as the Keremeos Columns.
