July 21st-22nd Indigenous Vendors

  • 3960 BC-97C Peachland, British Columbia 97C Peachland, BC, V0H 1X7 Canada (map)

Be sure to stop by the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Inspiration Centre this Friday and Saturday between 11AM-4PM to enjoy the two vendors, Brandi Anthony and Maggie Denault.

About Brandi Anthony
I consider myself a down to earth northern (metis) gal with a passion for life, animals and people. I am a self taught artist who is constantly looking and learning new methods and techniques. I am open minded and always willing to implement my talents with the voices and opinions of others.

I was often told to choose one field in art and one medium.  Whether it be flowers, landscapes, or portraits or charcoal, acrylic and oil, and stick to it until I become exceptional at it.  But I found that too stifling.  I was always interested in what else.  I don’t like to consider being put in a box as I am much more interested in what is on the outside of the box then what is in.  And that is why I love to work in different mediums and subjects.  More recently I found and am drawn to Color Pencils and love the details I can bring out in a subject.

I strive for realism with acrylics, oils and colored pencils but often add my touch with abstract vibrant colors.  To choose a favorite medium or subject is impossible for me as often I am drawn to the subject by the light or angle of which it is presented.  Often the reference will speak to me and tell me which medium I would like to see it developed in.

Each piece is special to me and I enjoy the journey of creating and loving each time when the journey comes to the end I get to see the wonder and enjoyment on my customers faces and know that I brought to them a piece that they will love and cherish.
