Who’s ready for an all-round season adventure! The Big White Boundary Road Trip will be sure to get your adrenaline pumping.

Kelowna

Our adventure starts at Kelowna, known for its renowned wine industry, gorgeous beach besides Okanagan Lake, and prime-outdoor adventures.

Big White Ski Resort

From Route 97 in Kelowna, connect with Highway 33 and head east for approximately 26 km (16 mi) until you see the turnoff for Big White Road. Turn left into this road and drive up the mountain for roughly 23 km (14.3 mi) to arrive at Big White Ski Resort. Though known for its champagne powder, Big White is also home to mountain biking and hiking in the summer months.

Hydraulic Lake Campground

As you continue down Highway 33, you’ll find the Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail section of The Great Trail (formerly known as the Trans Canada Trail) running parallel to the highway. Hike or bike a section of the trail, stay the night at Hydraulic Lake Campground or cool off in the water at Idabel Lake.

Beaverdell

It’s approximately 48 km (30 mi) from the Big White turnoff to the small community of Beaverdell. With ample hiking and camping in the area, it is a great stop for an ice cream on a warm summer day.

Westbridge

Westbridge is just 35 km (22 mi) south and provides easy access to the KVR Trail. With lush forests, wildflowers and larch trees, the outdoors are beckoning. Relax by the water or cast your line in the Kettle River where rainbow trout are known to be present.

Osoyoos/Grand Forks

Connect with Highway 3 just 13 km (8 mi) south and head west to connect with the desert border town of Osoyoos or east to continue your journey through Boundary Country towards Grand Forks.
