North Okanagan Markets

North Okanagan

Enderby

The Enderby Farmers Market has a long history in the region. Founded in 1978, it was presented as a flea market and featured second-hand commercial goods as well as homegrown and handmade products. Commonly known as the “Open Air Market”, the town of Enderby decided to change it’s location several times due to its rapid growth and success. In 2020, they officially changed the name to Enderby Farmers Market, and it now has two locations.

The summer market is located in downtown Enderby on Cliff Avenue and Belvedere Street. You can buy from local vendors every Friday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm. The 2023 summer market begins April 18th and runs to October 13th, with plenty of parking downtown and beyond.

The winter market has been out of commission in 2021/2022 but will resume again this year which is held at the Splatsin Community Center, 5767 Old Vernon Road. What better way to support local small businesses than to start in the beautiful North Okanagan/ Shuswap.

Armstrong

Did you know that Armstrong is home to the longest-running farmers market in the province?

Armstrong Farmers Market is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The community of vendors in Armstrong lives by their motto: "We make it, Bake it, or Grow it.”

The market truly encompasses everything you’d want on a sunny Saturday and more! Grab a coffee and some tasty baked goods while touring the grounds, or pick up your farm fresh produce for the week. The vendors offer everything from high-quality eggs, meats, and cheeses to home décor and plants. You will want to take note of the incredibly talented crafters from within the district, whose products include woodworking, specialty sewn and handcrafted products, clothing, and jewelry.

As the market is located within the Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE) grounds, there are often opportunities to view and hold farm animals, including baby chicks, calves and goats. Enjoy the ambiance with live music and entertainment from local musicians!

Armstrong’s Farmers Market runs every Saturday from the end of April to the second week of October, from 8:30- 12:30 pm at 3375 Pleasant Valley Road.

Vernon

Vernon runs an outdoor farmers market from April to October every Monday and Thursday from 8:00 am-1:00 pm. One of the oldest farmers markets in the region, Vernon is celebrating 44 years of operation this season and is hosting over 100 vendors. Have your first pick of in-season produce, farm-fresh eggs, meats, cheeses and so much more.
