Kicking Horse Canyon Construction Spring/Summer 2022

The Kicking Horse Canyon Project is a 4.6-kilometre section of the Trans Canada Highway, located just east of Golden. Construction has begun with an anticipated completion in Winter 2024. Currently, Hwy #1 is OPEN at the Kicking Horse Canyon during the day, with up to 30-minute delays for lane closures and full overnight closures.
