Located on Highway 97C (Okanagan Connector) above Peachland, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Inspiration Centre is a visitor centre that offers a place to take a break and take in the first glimpse of the breathtaking views of the Okanagan Valley and lake. This visitor services centre is the first stop after the City of Merritt and is the gateway to the Central, North, South Okanagan and beyond.

Join us at our friendly rest area with plenty of daytime RV and bus parking. Here, you can shop for local and Indigenous products including clothing, art, and snacks for the road. Looking for details about the area? Ask the trained visitor counsellors about what activities, accommodations, and events are occurring in the area.

Indigenous Artisan’s Trail (IArT) Venue

While at the centre, visit The Indigenous Artisan’s Trail (IArT) Venue which hosts events related to Interior Salish arts and culture from it’s location.

July-August:

  • Monday - Saturday: 10 AM - 5 PM

  • Sunday: 10 AM - 4 PM

May-June / September-October:

  • Wednesday - Saturday 10 AM - 5 PM

  • Sunday: 10 AM - 4 PM

Directions:

The Tourism Inspiration Centre can be accessed by driving east on Highway 97C, from Merritt towards Peachland.

From Peachland:

  1. Head west towards Merritt.

  2. Take the Trepanier Creek exit, under the highway.

  3. Take the on-ramp to get back on the highway heading east back towards Peachland.

  4. Turn right into the Tourism Inspiration Centre parking lot.
