Lets work together and spread the word about the incredible region of the Thompson Okanagan. Our Travel Trade and Media team is here to help you create content that showcases the region in it’s truest form with an emphasis, but not limited to, four primary themes, Indigenous, Travelling with your Senses, Sustainable Travel, and Accessibility.

Vast and varied, this is a region of mountains and valleys, of pristine grasslands and ancient forests, cityscapes and pastoral countryside. Your biggest challenge will be to fit in as many experiences as possible while creating your ideal vacation escape to document!


What We Can Do For You

The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) works closely with Destination BC (DBC) and the Community Management Organizations (CDMO) of the region to invite media, influencers, and travel trade opportunities to showcase and inspire travel. Our goal is to connect you with stakeholders that will offer an unforgettable experience you can be sure you will want to document. We are happy to source visual assets to enhance your written work, deliver facts, figures, story ideas, and develop and coordinate customized itineraries that will showcase the topics of your focus.


Requirements for Anyone Coming to the Region

  • The audience of your platform or the audience of the outlet you are working for must correlate with our target audience and prove to have significant monthly engagement

  • Must provide at minimum a month's notice before coming to the region

  • Must agree to pre-determined terms and conditions in a contractual agreement with TOTA

  • Must align with TOTA and Destination BC’s brand guidelines

  • Is accepted by TOTA and DBC through a vetting process, everyone is evaluated on a case by case basis no matter what capacity you are visiting the region


Expectations for Anyone

  • Attend all appointments outlined in your itinerary

    • Must give 48 hours notice before cancelling a reservation

  • Arrive on time to the pre-booked appointments in your itinerary

  • Be professional and polite to all staff and other patrons enjoying the businesses you are visiting

    • Harassment, rudeness, and discrimination will not be tolerated

  • Travel with care and respect the environment around you

  • Ensure individuals captured in any photos taken have signed a model consent form

  • If you will be consuming alcohol during your trip ensure a designated driver is pre determined and organized beforehand
