The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) Travel Media team is here to help you create engaging content, if possible, with an emphasis on four primary themes, Indigenous, Travelling with your Senses, Sustainable Travel, and Accessibility. We work with journalists, freelance writers, social influencers, editors, and broadcasters on travel-focused stories to build destination awareness in our top markets. We can help you with research, travel planning, image sourcing, interview contacts, connecting with stakeholders, and more.

In order to be considered you must:

  • Promote British Columbia as a travel destination in print, online, or broadcast media

  • Reflect a confirmed assignment by the journalist and editor

  • Provide unpaid editorial coverage in our key geographic and sector/vertical markets and support our key strategies

  • Represent a publication with minimum monthly readership of 50,000

    • Higher circulations may be required based on market and demographic (contact us for television / online requirements)

  • Provide, at minimum, four weeks advance notice

  • Follows TOTA’s Content Brief Guidelines

  • Ensure you have the right permissions and permits to fly drones anywhere within the region, specifically in BC Provincial Parks and private properties
